We were proud to have Dr. Edwin Mok represent iCarbon at the 16th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF) in Macau (June 10–12, 2025), where he delivered a powerful talk on:
“Advancing Low-Carbon and Smart Construction: A Green Decision Support Engine Powered by AI, BIM, IoT, and Carbon Accounting”
🌍 With the built environment contributing to ~42% of global CO₂ emissions, the urgency for innovation in construction is greater than ever. Dr. Mok highlighted how iCarbon’s integrated platform empowers stakeholders across the value chain with:
•BIM-based digital twins for lifecycle planning
•IoT for real-time environmental insights
•Carbon accounting aligned with ISSB, GRI, TCFD
•AI for analytics, ESG reporting, and design optimization
A key focus was on passive cooling technologies, which offer fast, scalable, and cost-effective decarbonization for building retrofits:
•Cooling Paint: ↓ Surface temp by 30°C, ↓ indoor temp by 8°C, ↑ energy savings by 32%
•Cooling Window Film: ↓ Indoor temp by 20°C, saving 2365 kWh per 55 sqm
These solutions are ideal for urban renewal in ageing, carbon-intensive buildings across Hong Kong, Macao, Southeast Asia, and beyond.
Our vision is clear: combine digital intelligence with material innovation to create a scalable decarbonization ecosystem, empowering developers, facility owners, governments, and financial institutions to meet their sustainability goals.
🤝 Together, we are building the future — smarter, greener, and more resilient.
