Redevelopment Of Yuen Long Stadium

Project Description:

The works include reprovisioning of an 11-a-side natural turf football pitch; reprovisioning of an 8-lane 400 metres-long synthetic athletic track and field facilities meeting the standards and requirements of the World Athletics; reprovisioning of west and east spectator stands with fixed covers and ancillary facilities accommodating a total of around 6,000 seats; provision of ancillary facilities to comply with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Stadium Regulations for the hosting of AFC Champions League and AFC Cup matches; reprovisioning of the existing car parking and bicycle spaces with additional public parking spaces to form a public vehicle park with 104 parking spaces; and beautification works for the public passage between the Yuen Long Stadium and the Yuen Long Swimming Pool. The total site area is around 30,000 square metres. The construction floor area is around 22,000 square metres.
